Champions For Youth is a program offered by Kawartha Pine District School Board. It is a mentoring program for "at risk" youth. Students are matching with mentors who provide them with a positive role model. This program has been running in Northumberland County since 2007 and we have had some very successful matches. I would really appreciate to share one of our successful matches with the public.
This story is what Champions For Youth is all about. It may inspire others to consider becoming a mentor to youth. I can be reached by my email at melissa_emerson@kprdsb.ca or on my cell at (905) 375-4161.
